Yes — every WordStructor brand includes a 14-day free trial with full feature access. No credit card required to start. After 14 days, you choose a plan that fits. For Scriptor (lifetime), the trial runs 14 days before the one-time payment is charged.
Your license is bound to your computer's unique hardware ID (HWID). This means you can activate the software on one device per license. If you upgrade or change your PC, you can request a reset via our support — resets are free and processed within 24 hours.
WordStructor caches your license locally for up to 30 days without needing to phone home. This means you can work offline for extended periods — on a plane, at a cabin, or anywhere without internet. The cache auto-refreshes when you're back online. If the cache expires, you simply reconnect briefly to renew it.
All payments are processed through Dodo Payments. We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and various local payment methods depending on your region. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant. Your payment details never touch our servers.
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. If you move from ArcWriter to WordStructor, you get a prorated credit for the remaining days. Going from a monthly plan to Scriptor (lifetime)? We'll credit your remaining subscription toward the lifetime license. Contact support@wordstructor.com for migration assistance.
Yes — ArcWriter is built specifically for BYOK (bring your own key). You can use OpenAI, OpenRouter, or any local Ollama model. The WordStructor plan also supports BYOK as an option alongside included cloud AI. Scriptor is local-only (Ollama). FictionForge uses included cloud AI via credits.
FictionForge uses a credit-based system instead of API key management. Each month you receive a pool of credits based on your tier: Free (limited credits, resets monthly), Plus 29€/mo (more credits), and Pro 49€/mo (highest credit pool). Credits cover all cloud AI usage — no separate API keys needed.
Yes — all monthly subscriptions can be canceled at any time. Your data remains accessible in read-only mode for 30 days after cancellation. All your projects and settings are stored locally on your machine. If you resubscribe, everything is restored as you left it. For Scriptor (lifetime), there's no cancellation — you own it forever.
